The Stanley Model 31188 wireless remote control is a "twofer" of switching units to control plug-in electric circuits up to about 12 amperes per unit. We needed to control two sets of Christmas decorations; one in the front yard and one in the back yard. Built (and apparently designed) with Stanley's usual expertise and care, it was literally a "plug and play" solution. The factory packaging contained two switching units and one wireless radio-frequency (RF) remote control that controlled both modules. We plugged one switching unit into an outlet on the front porch, the other unit into an outside outlet in the rear, plugged in our lights to the units, and then turned them on and off with the remote control. No problems.
The remote control has two sets of buttons marked "A" and "B" with an "ON" and an "OFF" button in each set. As you'd expect, the "A" buttons turn one switching unit on and off, and the "B" buttons do the same for the other.
There you have it; simple, easy to understand, effective, and they work! We had no need for long-range conrol of our units so we didn't run a range test on the remote as it worked with both units from anywhere in our house or yard.Stanley 31188 Outdoor Wireless Remote Control, Black, 2-Pack
