Tools and Hardware Reviews of Stanley Hardware 74-8257 Screen & Storm Door Knob LatchesCustomer Review: Good for price, but could be better. Summary: 4 Stars
This is a pretty standard item, but at a good price. Installation from scratch would be straightforward with the instructions, but I was replacing old latches. On two doors, it was just unscrew the old one, and put in the new one. On the third door, I needed to re-drill/enlarge some of the holes, and I had to buy new screws because the threads on the provided ones were just enough off that I ruined the screw heads trying to force them in. It's only pennies and time, but I really wonder why the fit wasn't better.
