I just got these for $35 at Menard's, only $20 more than the model w/o the audio. AM and FM work well for me, but then again I'm in a major metropolitan area. I read the directions but could not figure out how to use the aux input with my MP3 player. I figured it out by fiddling with it, you turn the power on at zero volume, then use the volume control on the MP3 player.
Compared to my earbuds, these are fantastic for listening to music while mowing or using the leaf blower/sucker. I can have the music at lower (safer) levels and hear the music well, and they actually stay on my ears as I'm moving around.
Sound quality is about what I expected for $35 and this type of product. It's okay, but it's not going to compare to a good set of audio head phones. Given the typical user will probably be using this with loud outdoor equipment, the sound quality is just fine.
